The Open Access Ambassadors’ training is conceived as a two-day conference and workshop from 10 to 11 December 2019 at Harnack House in Berlin. Each Max Planck Institute is kindly invited to delegate one or two early career researchers to participate in the event for joining a Max Planck-wide network of Open Access Ambassadors.
The OAA conference and workshop will comprise topics such as scientific publishing, scholarly reputation building, and the concepts of open access and open science. It will include presentations from leading voices of the open access movement, policy experts, researchers, and open science advocates. Train-the-trainer workshops will enable PhD students and early stage researchers to become influencers by promoting open access and open research practices at their respective institutes.
