OSA Meeting 2025 – Materials

The Open Science Ambassadors Meeting 2025 took place in Berlin from September 15-16.

The meeting brought together the MPG Open Science community, including many of our current Open Science Ambassadors, to discuss Open Science developments within and outside the MPG. This year, some Open Science Ambassadors from the Berlin University Alliance joined us, including their coordinator, Stefan Skupien.

In addition to engaging presentations on “Open Peer Review” at EMBO by Bernd Pulverer and on the “Community Science” project Chimp&See by Mimi Arandjelovic, all participants took part in a hands-on workshop on “Collaborative manuscripts via GitHub” by Aaron Peikert.

Other highlights included the OS Ambassador talks, during which participants shared their projects and experiences, as well as the surprise evening activity, which featured a collaborative puzzle called “The Pentomino Reproducibility Game.”

Richard McElreath introduced with his talk a discussion and interactive session on Open Science in the Max Planck Society, which generated many new ideas for the future.

All materials (slides, links, etc.) are now available in the program overview for this year’s event.

Thank you to all the speakers, contributors, and participants!
