“Open Science in the Light of Geopolitical Polarization”
As the global scientific community grapples with the implications of rising geopolitical tensions, we invite you to join us for a timely and thought-provoking discussion on the future of Open Science.
The aim is to address the challenges that arise for Open Science practitioners from growing global system rivalries and the tensions that accompany them. The general question is how Open Science – with its emphasis on transparency, collaboration, efficiency and validity of scientific results – can be sustained in the light of these increasingly competing interests. Therefore we will discuss the interrelations of Open Science, political interests, and innovation. We will ask how research organizations can reconcile Open Science policies with resilience and competitiveness.
The hybrid event is for anyone, who is interested in an interdisciplinary communication about Open Science. You can find further ideas on the topic as well as future updates on our Open Science Days page. We invite you to already mark your calendar and stay tuned for updates.
