Open Science Ambassadors are researchers and staff of the Max Planck Society (MPG) who are interested in Open Science topics and its systematic implementation. They seek to make their own research open and push for change in their community, inspiring their colleagues in the process. As local Open Science representatives, Ambassadors raise awareness, share resources and initiate conversations about Open Science.

Additionally, OS Ambassadors become part of a network that shares ideas and methods for dealing with institutional opportunities and challenges within the MPG. The community meets in person once a year to connect, discuss open science strategies, participate in workshops, and discuss the status of open science within and outside the Society. At these events, they represent their Max Planck Institute and the interests and needs of their disciplines. All OS Ambassadors can suggest ideas for additional online events or activities for the OS community.
